I've spent an awful lot of money here, such that I've had to sell some gold. As for the theatres, I went to the French one once, and to the Italian Opera once. Ужасно трудно здесь найти несколько свободных минут для писания, — суета такая же, как и в Москве, да ещё, в довершение всего, я все время был ~~Нездоров~~, так что один день даже безвыходно просидел дома. Нездоровье, впрочем, было самое неважное, т. е. сильный насморк и кашель. Еду завтра. По возможности старался избежать встреч, но всё-таки пришлось сделать много посещений. У ~~кога~~ нужно, везде был, и совесть моя совершенно покойна. Модя собирается съездить на время за границу попозже меня; он располагает выехать в десятых числах января, а может быть, и раньше. Вообще говоря, Модя совершенно здоров, — но он перенёс так много сильных потрясений, что ему в самом деле нужно проехаться. Денег у меня здесь вышло страшно много, так что пришлось продать часть золотых. Из театров посетил раз французский и раз итальянскую оперу.
