Теперь только жду подробностей об этом ужасном и вместе радостном для тебя дне, а также известий о том, что воспоследовало далее и хорошо ли она себя теперь чувствует. Зато твоё письмо о болезни Алёши меня очень обеспокоило. Я предчувствовал, что он болен, ожидал этого, ибо в последнем письме своём он извещал меня о постоянном недомогании, а потом замолчал, и из этого я заключил, что он болен и в больнице. Получивши твоё письмо, я тотчас же телеграфировал милому Петру Ивановичу, прося его послать кого-нибудь из своих слуг к Алёше и сообщить мне точные сведения. Вчера вечером пришла телеграмма, что Алёша вне опасности. я спокоен за него, но не совсем. Болезнь эта подлая, т. е. оставляющая за собой следы, и так как Алёша очень некрепкого сложения, то боюсь как бы не ~~развилась~~ у него чахотка.
