Голубушка Софья Ивановна! Вчера Николай Лангер обратился ко мне с следующей просьбой. По поручению Петра Ивановича он переписывал мою оперу (партитуру). В понедельник она будет готова и принесена к Вам. Лангер говорит, что П[ётр] И[ванович] обещал ему 125 р[ублей], но ввиду трудности и спешности работы он желал бы получить 150 р[ублей]. Не знаю, можете ли Вы сами решить это дело, — но во всяком случае попрошу исполнить его просьбу, т. е. выдать 150 р[ублей], а там увидим: я или П[ётр] И[ванович] примет на свой счёт лишние 25 р[ублей].

Ни в пятницу, ни вчера нельзя было устроить ''винт'' а у Вас; сегодня увижу Губертов, и, может быть, мы уговоримся быть у Вас в один из наступающих трёх дней. Я дам Вам знать о дне и часе нашествия на Вас.

Golubushka [[Sofya Ivanovna]]! Yesterday Nikolay Langer approached me with the following request. On behalf of [[Pyotr Ivanovich]] he has copied out my opera (full score). On Monday it will be ready for delivery to you. Langer says that [[Pyotr Ivanovich]] promised him 125 rubles, but in view of the difficult and urgency of the work he wishes to receive 150 rubles. I don't know whether you can resolve this matter yourself — but in any case I will ask you to fulfil his request, i.e. to pay 150 rubles; then we will see whether [[Pyotr Ivanovich]] will take the additional 25 rubles from my account.

Neither on Friday nor yesterday could I arrange ''vint'' with you; today I'm seeing the Huberts, and perhaps we can arrange vint at yours on one of the ensuing three days. I shall let you know the day and time of the onslaught.
