	You ask about dear Grisha Sangursky. I met him in [[Kamenka]], and from the mad joy that I felt, I saw that I was awfully fond of him. He had been rather busy with the household lately; he'd been entrusted with supervising the digging of beets, etc. When asked if he wanted me to find him a position, he replied that he fervently wanted this. I humiliatingly and importunately pestered [[Nikolay von Meck\|Kolya Meck]] and was very glad to receive his firm promise to give him a place in the office of the Ryazan railway, starting on 25 rubles. Both Grisha and his father (what a delightful person his father is!) were delighted, but it seems that [[Lev ~~Daydov~~\|Lev Vasilyevich]] ruined everything. When I left, Grisha came to see me off; [[Lev ~~Daydov~~\|Lev Vasilyevich]], [[Nikolay von Meck\|Kolya Meck]] and Tasya also came. Grisha literally turned as white as a sheet and left. I followed him, consoled him as much as possible, and returned to those seeing me off. Here I found Tasya beaming with delight, spewing out a stream of curses and all manner of accusations against Grisha, [[Lev ~~Daydov~~\|Lev Vasilyevich]] hissing encouragement to her. I began to defend Grisha, and at that moment the train arrived, and I left with a terrible rage against [[Kamenka]]. We'll talk in person about how outrageous all this is.
