Решительно не понимаю, что значит: «{{und2|печатать либретто}}, но {{und2|без речитативов, с разговорами}}». Что такое разговоры? Ведь ''речитатив'' и есть разговор, а хотят ли они ''петь'' или ''говорить'' речитативы, — это мне совершенно все равно. Я привезу тебе в конце недели ''экземпляр оперы'', на котором обозначу разными знаками, как и что печатать. Так будет мне короче и легче, чем выписывать все.

2-я корректура финала с поправками Эрдмансдёрфера послана мной к ''Балакиреву'', который требовал непременно партитуры, и поскорее. Она вовсе не нужна ему, ибо я тщательно просмотрел, выполнены ли везде его <big>'''п'''</big> и <big>'''ᐱ'''</big> а если где-нибудь даже и не досмотрел (в чем сомневаюсь), то не суть важно. Попроси его теперь окинуть ещё раз беглым взглядом 3-ю корректуру, и засим можно печатать. Я приеду в Москву в пятницу утром и останусь до следующего (4-го) концерта Рубинштейна. Ты жалуешься на неприятности по поводу этих концертов, а я тебе прибавил ещё одну, а именно, по просьбе начальника Клинской станции дал ему для передачи тебе письмо с просьбой о 2 даровых местах для его и жены его.

I absolutely don't understand what "{{und2|to print the libretto}}", but "{{und2|without the recitatives, with conversations}}" means. What conversations? After all, ''recitatives'' are conversations, and whether they want ''to sing'' or ''to speak'' the recitatives makes absolutely no difference to me. At the end of the week I'll be bringing you a ''copy of the opera'', on which I'll indicate with different markings how and what is to be printed. This will be briefer and simpler for me than writing everything out.

I've sent the 2nd proofs of the finale with [[Erdmannsdörfer]]'s markings to [[Balakirev]], who firmly demanded the score as quickly as possible. He doesn't need it at all, because I've carefully checked whether his <big>'''п'''</big> and <big>'''ᐱ'''</big> have been included everywhere, and even if I missed somewhere (which I doubt), then it's not important. If you'll now ask him to have another glance over the 3rd proof, then it can be printed. I'll be arriving in [[Moscow]] on Friday morning, and staying until [[Anton Rubinstein|Rubinstein]]'s next (4th) concert.
