The score consists of four bound notebooks, wide rather than oblong, i.e. not [[File:2927 ex1.jpg\|60px]] but [[File:2927 ex2.jpg\|100px]]. Along with this I'm writing a letter to ''Vasily'' (the cook), so that he will permit the gentleman bringing the enclosed card to enter and let him freely rummage everywhere. Получил твоё письмо, написанное по поводу Пчельникова и «''Озера лебедей''». Партитура сего балета находится в ''Майданове''. Всего лучше, если ты пошлёшь ''Бориса'', ибо он был у меня и повар ''Василий'' его знает. Она лежит, если не ошибаюсь, на нижней полочке этажерки, находящейся в моем кабинете, в углу за роялью. Состоит партитура из четырёх переплетённых тетрадей формы не продолговатой, а широкой т. е. не [[File:2927 ex1.jpg|60px]] а [[File:2927 ex2.jpg|100px]]. Вместе с сим я пишу письмо ''Василию'' — повару, чтобы он пустил и дал свободно рыться повсюду господину, который привезёт прилагаемую при сем карточку. Прикажу ему также накормить Бориса или кого ты пошлёшь ''обедом''.

Из четырёх действий нужно выбрать {{und2|второе}}, а не четвёртое, как ты предполагал. Оно самое лучшее во всех отношениях. Итак, не забудь: {{und2|второе}}.
