И странно, что ты стала лениво и неохотно писать как раз, когда пожив с Вами, я как нарочно живее и сильнее чувствую потребность знать, что у Вас делается. Замечательно также, что до сих пор я не могу ни от кого добиться подробностей о случившемся с ''Вериновским'', — а ведь из Парижа я так просил тебя сообщить мне точные сведения Кроме двух строк в письме ''Степана к Алексею'', — я ничего не знаю. Получил на днях большое письмо от ''Ипполитова-Иванова'' и читал его с наслаждением, ибо всё, что мне живо напоминает ''Тифлис'', мне необыкновенно приятно. Попаду ли к Вам опять? Надеюсь, — но едва ли осенью. Как ты решишь с Эммой, и получила ли ты письмо её. Целую Панины ручки, а также Тату обнимаю и Толю, если он с тобой.
