	I've also been a little under the weather. I've hardly done any work at all for weeks. First a fever, then some sort of sharp pain in the side. As a consequence of this indisposition I've not been taking baths at all, and for me bathing is the most beneficial remedy for nerves. Очень рад был получить известие от тебя. Но признаюсь, что твой ''бронхит'' немного беспокоит меня. Неужели после меня ты все ещё продолжал кашлять, быть бледным и вообще недомогающим? Радуюсь, что ты вместо Лондонской суеты попадаешь в Швейцарию. Поправляйся и приезжай в Москву. Напиши мне обстоятельно, когда ты думаешь попасть в первопрестольную и заедешь ли ко мне? Я буду очень, очень рад увидеть твою глупую, но всё-таки симпатичную рожу.

А мне всё что-то тоже нездоровится. Вот уж недели, что я почти вовсе не работаю. То лихорадка, то какая-то острая боль в боку. Вследствие этого нездоровья я вовсе не купаюсь, а для меня купанье блаrодетельнейшее целебное средство от нервов. Не успел оглянуться, а вот уж и лето на исходе!

Весьма советую тебе списаться с Давыдовым насчет того, чтобы и в ''Петербурге'' тебе поиграть. Если желаешь, я напишу ''Бюлову'', — хотя мне до сих пор хорошенько неизвестно, он ли будет управлять Петербургскими концертами.

За предложение помочь мне в сочинении «''Чародейки''» очень благодарю и охотно воспользуюсь им. Там в 4-ом действии появляется на сцене ''дурачок'', и я никак не могу сладить с этим местом. Думаю, что тебе оно вполне удастся. Итак, приезжай поскорей выручать.
