	Вероятно, Вы не только удивляетесь, но и сердитесь немножко за то, что не пишу Вам так давно. Верьте моему слову: с тех пор как я в Петербурге, я впервые беру перо в руки, и то чтобы сказать Вам несколько слов. Концерт мой ~~у дался~~ вполне. Я дирижировал по мнению иных порядочно, по мнению других отлично, — но во всяком случае, в грязь лицом не ударил. Успех был очень большой. Суеты, бесплодного и убийственно утомительного шатания по всем углам и закоулкам Петербурга было в эти 2½ недели так много, что я доведён до последней степени изнеможения и воскрес только сегодня, т. е. перед отъездом. Безмерно счастлив, что буду опять у себя в деревне один и свободен. «''Чародейка''» уже разучивается. Как-то Вы? Как-то бедный Юша? с болью сердца думаю о Вас! Не оставляйте меня без известий о себе!
