Письмо Ваше, адресованное ко мне в Боржом, я получил только вчера. Мне внезапно пришлось покинуть Боржом и ехать в Аахен к бедному ''Н. Д. Кондр[атьеву]'', который находится здесь уже месяц. Он очень тосковал и страдал нравственно вследствие одиночества, и желал, чтобы я приехал. Ему как будто лучше и появилась надежда на выздоровление, но все ещё дело плохо. — Вы желаете, чтобы я написал Звереву, но я не знаю даже где он. В начале лета он был на Кавказе на водах, потом уехал, а куда — не знаю. Думаю, вообще, что теперь хлопотать о Вашем деле, особенно находясь в Ааxeн, нельзя. Нужно, чтобы все собрались. Впрочем, я Звереву напишу в Москву, а Вы уж сами у него побывайте. В конце августа он, конечно, будет уже в Москве. Сам я тоже около этого времени думаю там быть.
