I also had a detailed conversation with the agent, [[Wolff]]; he has offered to save me from the harrying pursuit of a certain concert agent, ''Friedrich'', about whom I told you in [[Moscow]]. He is some sort of swindler and at the same time a fool. In [[Leipzig]], I've had a lot of moral support and sympathy from [[Brodsky]] and [[Anna Brodsky\|his wife]], and from [[Ziloti]] and [[Vera Ziloti\|Ziloti]]. Уж я не буду каждый раз говорить про свои страдания, волнения, желания удрать и т. д. Принят я был отлично; меня вызвали 2 раза; это в Лейпциге считается большим успехом. В промежутках между частями хлопали весьма усердно, особенно после первой части. После концерта был вечер у ''Рейнеке'', а потом я ещё должен был быть на студенческом русском вечере.
