Неделю тому назад я отправил к Вам письмо, в коем просил Вас ответить мне, возможен ли в настоящем сезоне дебют молодого баритона ''Борисоглебского'', в коем я принимаю сердечное участие. Ответа я до сих пор не получил и потому принуждён предположить, что письмо моё не дошло до Вас. Возобновляю своё ходатайство за моего протеже и покорнейше прошу Вас сказать мне, можете ли Вы дать ему дебют и в случае удачи дебюта ангажировать на самых скромных условиях. Я остаюсь в Москве лишь до конца будущей недели. Если к тому времени Вам неудобно будет дать мне ответ, то не соблаговолите ли ответить самому ''Борисолебскому'' (Остоженка, Бутиковский переулок, д[ом] Борисоглебской).<br />

A week ago I sent you a letter <ref name="note1"/>, in which I asked you to reply to me whether it was possible to debut in the present season the young baritone ''Borisoglebsky'' <ref name="note2"/>, in whom I take a cordial interest. Thus far I have not received an answer, and therefore I am forced to conclude that my letter did not reach you. I renew my petition on behalf of my protégé, and humbly ask you to tell me whether you might afford him a debut, and in the event of a successful debut, to engage him on the most modest of terms. I am staying in [[Moscow]] only until the end of next week. If it is inconvenient before then for you to give me a reply, then could you not see fit to give your answer to ''Borisogblebsky'' himself (Ostozhenka, Butikovsky Lane, Borisoglebsky house).<br />
