Ты пишешь, что высылаешь мне для поправки лист ''партитуры'' «''Онегина''». Однако этого листа я ''не получил''. Может быть, получу завтра? Кстати, ответь мне 2 слова на вопрос: ''получил ли Поллини в своё время партитуру «Онегина»''? Что-то а нем ничего не слышно. Ты спрашиваешь, что такое «''mise en scène''». Это подробное обозначение, что какому действующему лицу и даже хористу делать во время хода пиэсы. Впрочем, получивши из Праги работу Палечека, ты увидишь, в чем дела. Спасибо за пересылку «''Черевичек''». Кстати: весьма бы недурно когда нибудь её и ''танцы'' из тои же оперы издать в партитуре. Это вещи, которыми я горжусь, как и вообще этой оперой. Подожди, она когда-нибудь воспрянет. Обнимаю.<br />

You write that you're sending me pages from the ''full score'' of "''[[Onegin]]''" for correction <ref name="note1"/>. However, I have ''not received'' these pages. Perhaps they will come tomorrow? Incidentally, answer me 2 words to the question: ''did [[Pollini]] receive his full score of "[[Onegin]]" in time''?<ref name="note2"/> I've heard nothing about this for some reason. You ask what the "''mise en scène''" is. This is a detailed description of what every cast member and even every choir member does during the course of the piece. Anyway, on receiving [[Paleček]]'s work from [[Prague]] you'll see what I mean. Thank you for forwarding "''[[Cherevichki]]''". Incidentally, would it be a bad thing to publish the ''dances'' from the same opera in full score? I'm proud of these, just as I am with the whole opera in general. Just wait and it will pick up at some point. I hug you.<br />
