	The copy with the numbers from the [[The Nutcracker (suite)\|suite]], which I included in the full score, was sent to me badly — I had to fiddle about with it. Please, do not confuse your copy with mine, because the numbers included in the suite don't entirely correspond to the original score. In short, leave everything as it is. Perhaps, in order not waste time, you can now hand over the (complete) score of the 2nd act for copying? However, I caution you that when rehearsing a ballet it is essential that the conductor has the original score in his hands. Copyists are such brazen liars! Moreover, the score contains many notes for the conductor Drigo. Of course, once the rehearsals and proofreading are done with, he'll return it to you. Посылаю тебе остальные части ''балета''. (Первые 6 нумеров находятся у С. И. Танеева). Сверху лежат недостающие нумера из 1-го действия: Увертюра, № 2 Марш, №№ 7, 8 и 9.

2-ое действие оставь пока у себя. Я очень боюсь пожара у Танеева и попрошу тебя выдавать ему партитуру не сразу всю. Итак, слава Богу, более чем годовую работу я кончил. Ужасно приятно!

Копию с нумеров сюиты, вошедшую в полную партитуру, мне прислали скверную, — пришлось с ней возиться. Надеюсь, что ты с своей стороны уже получил копию сюиты. Пожалуйста, не перепутай свою копию с моей, ибо ведь в сюите вошедшие в неё нумера не совсем согласны с подлинной партитурой. Одним словом, оставь все как есть. Быть может, дабы не терять времени, ты отдашь теперь партитуру (полную) 2-го действия списывать? Однако предупреждаю тебя, что при репетированье балета необходимо, чтобы в руках капельмейстера была подлинная партитура. Копиисты так нещадно врут! Притом у меня в партитуре имеются многие замечания для капельмейстера Дриго. Конечно, по миновании корректурных репетиций он возвратит тебе её.

Я теперь на неделю еду в Петербург. Если что нужно, пиши или телеграфируй: ''Фонтанка, 24''. В понедельник на святой приеду в Москву, кажется, на целый месяц. В это время Алексей перевезёт моё добро на новое жительство.

Выдай, пожалуйста, Алексею ''500 р[ублей] сер[ебром]'' на домашние расходы. До свиданья!
